Explain Following Functions :-
1. Auto Sum
2. TODAY & NOW
3. Average
4. Min & Max

1.AutoSum :-
The Auto Sum feature is a shortcut to using Excel's SUM function. It provides a quick way to add up columns or rows of numbers in a spreadsheet. The syntax for AutoSum is the same as the SUM function.
=SUM( Number1, Number2, ... Number255 )
Up to 255 numbers can be entered into the function.

2. TODAY & NOW :-
1. TODAY :-
The TODAY function, one of Excel's date and time functions, can be used to add today's date to a spreadsheet.
The syntax for the TODAY function is:
=TODAY( )
Note: The TODAY function has no arguments. It obtains its information on the current date by reading the computer's serial date.

The NOW function, one of Excel's date and time functions, is used to add the current time and date to a spreadsheet.

3. Average :-
The AVERAGE function, one of Excel's statistical functions, is a handy function to know and one that I use frequently when calculating student marks and class averages.

To calculate an average, Excel adds up the values in the selectedrange and then divides that total by the number of non-blankcells in the range.

Average temperature, average price, and average speed are just some of the values that can be calculated. If you need to find an average, the short article on the Excel 2007 AVERAGE Function will show you how easy it is to do.

4. Min & Max :-
1. MAX :-
The MAX function can be used to find the largest or maximum number in a given list of values.
The MAX function can also be combined with other functions, such as the IF function, to create a conditional MAX-IF formula that find's the largest value for only those numbers in a list that meet conditions that you specify.
The syntax for the MAX function is:
=MAX( Number1, Number2, ... Number255 )

2. MIN :-
Excel's MIN function works much the same as the recently mention MAX function. What the MIN function does is find the smallest value in a given list of data.

Example uses for the MIN function:
  • to find the lowest temperature or the lowest rainfall in climaticdata
  • to find the quickest result in a collection of experimental results measured over a set period of time
  • to find the fastest time or the lowest score from the results of athletic events
To find out the details on how to use the MIN function, including an example, read the article on the Excel 2007 MIN Function
